My Top 5 Favorite Advertisements

These days we get to see a lot of advertisements than the program.  Be it a sports channel that shows ad even before the last delivery of an over could be bowled or other masala channels that show more advertisements than the actual program the ad sponsors. So we’ve got used to enjoy these commercials as well.

The fifth place goes to Karbon Mobiles advertisement in which Sehwag and Gambhir fight to pick the call from vidhya and avoid the call from their coach. This Advertisement, even if it doesn’t deserve this place, it has got this place by the benefit of an empty 5th place that was up for grabs. I like their chemistry. Undoubtedly the best friends on and off the field, They did not act in this advertisement. They have behaved in this advertisement.

The fourth place goes to Max New York Life Insurance Shiksha Advertisement in which the little boy comes home and says he’s got first place in an event. His parents fight among themselves comparing him with their forefathers who they claimed to have excelled in academics.  The little boy then opens up his painting saying he’s got first in painting event. They have showcased the very true scene of the society. I like this ad.

The third place is for the Idea Mobile advertisement in which Abishek is portrayed as a tree and m-commerce is in practice even in the local market. I like this ad so much because I always wanted m-commerce to be existent in practice.

The second place goes to brooke bond 3 roses ad in which a couple takes a romantic tea break. This ad is so romantic that it deserves to be at the first place, but for a reason has got the second place. It is so perfectly expressed and acted. Its one of those all time beautiful romantic ads.

The first place is to this Hero Honda Advertisement that i have been seeing very often these days. It goes with the rhyme

‘..If you are happy and you know it scream aloud. If you are happy and you know and you really wanna show, If you are happy and you know it pass it on…’

Its won over the 3 roses ad for only one reason that it brings smile in the face of people of all age group. It makes even a 60 yr old tap to its tune.

At the end of it all, i couldn’t find a place for any of the Vodafone zoo-zoo ads. Though there are few creative among the many zoo-zoo ads, I couldn’t find an ad that has stood out. This shows too many cooks spoil the froth.

There are not any advertisements in the list with a sexy female (JK Cements ad showing a girl in bikini. no logic in showing a girl walking out of beach for a cement advertisement) nor any ad with celebrities like Deepika Padukone (BSNL,Garnier), Vidya Balan(Good Night Naturals), Aishwarya Rai(Many Crap Ads). This shows that its not who appears on screen, but what appears on screen and the message conveyed that reaches the audience better.

P.S : There may be other ads that i might have missed out. Keeping them for the comments column.

Not bad article, but I really miss that you didn’t express your opinion, but ok you just have different approach

  4. cresloga says:

Yes Smiffy, I just thought the ads would have reached people and there is no point in briefing them. so I have just posted why they are my favorites.

You have to express more your opinion to attract more readers, because just a video or plain text without any personal approach is not that valuable. But it is just form my point of view
